The Design:

Izzie designed the invitation herself and knew from the beginning that she wanted letterpress printing. She was initially drawn to handmade paper, but after exploring the different options together we chose to print on cotton stock with hand-deckled edges. This approach captured the organic quality she loved while allowing the letterpress printing to remain crisp and beautifully detailed.

Working together, we refined several elements of the artwork to ensure it was ready for letterpress printing. The finished invitation pairs crisp black typography with an illustration of Ataahua Estate, while the soft, feathered edges add warmth and texture. Each invitation was hand deckled in the studio, giving every piece its own unique finish.
