The Design:

Joanne came to The Armarie Room inspired by an earlier invitation featured in the portfolio, but wanted the artwork to reflect the place where they would be married. Together we reimagined the design, replacing the coastal landscape with the silhouette of Mt Tarawera and weaving in native New Zealand flora including punga fronds and flax.

The result is an invitation that feels unmistakably connected to The Black Barn and its surrounding landscape. Designed and letterpress printed at The Armarie Room, it brings Joanne and Toby's vision to life through considered illustration and the tactile character of letterpress printing.
