The Design:
Sarah and Chad wanted their love of the beach to be part of their invitation, and the landscape around Kauri Bay gave us a natural starting point. The artwork was built around a coastal scene, combining native beach plants with the silhouette of Māngere Mountain — a quiet reference to where Chad grew up.
Chad also wanted a subtle nod to his Thai heritage, so a lotus was incorporated into the invitation, with a Thai-inspired pattern carried through to the details card. Modern sans serif typography gives the artwork plenty of space and keeps the overall design feeling light and contemporary.
