100% Cotton Rag Sheets

Made from 100% long-fibred cotton rag using traditional hand-papermaking techniques at Khadi Papers India. Each sheet is internally sized with a neutral pH size, then tub-sized with gelatine for strength and stability. Naturally acid-free with a beautifully rough, organic surface. Suitable for printmaking, mixed-media drawing and painting techniques.

Why we love it at The Armarie Room:

Khadi Paper has a character and texture machine-made paper simply can’t replicate. The long cotton fibres create a durable sheet that holds a wonderful impression. The deckled edges and tactile surface add a beautiful, artisanal element to any finished artwork.

Recommended use:

At The Armarie Room we’ve used it for relief printing, letterpress, embossing and even drypoint etching with beautiful results. Slightly dampening the sheet can produce especially rich, crisp impressions — a technique we love experimenting with in the studio.
