Woodblock Sets

from $2.00

These custom woodblock sets are conveniently cut to size for multi-block printing and designed to make carving smooth, accurate, and enjoyable. At 6 mm thick, the blocks stay perfectly flat — no warping — and the surface has no grain, making it easier to carve fine detail without the blade catching or tearing. The smooth surface also gives a strong, rich colour when printing.

Perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a clean, consistent block for relief printing.

Why we love them at The Armarie Room:

The smooth, grain-free surface is easy to carve, especially for small details and fine lines. It also transfers ink beautifully, producing a solid, even colour on press. At 6 mm thickness, the blocks sits flat on the press or bench and keeps it’s shape over time. They’re a great introduction to woodblock printing if you haven’t tried it before, and ideal for multi-block colour work.

Recommended use:

  • Woodblock and multi-block colour printing

  • Embossing

  • Use tools designed for woodcut, such as Japanese blades. Suitable for water-based or oil-based inks — after printing, allow any residual ink to dry on the surface rather than cleaning. This seals the block and creates a durable surface for reprinting.

Options:

  • 150 × 150mm

  • 150 × 200mm

  • 200 × 200mm

  • 200 × 300mm
