Transform LEGO tiles into stunning prints in this creative and playful workshop for young artists!

Using flat LEGO tiles, participants will build their own unique designs, which will then be rolled with ink and printed on our rare 1860 Albion Press. This cast-iron beauty brings their creations to life with the satisfying crank of a handle and pull of a lever.

Explore the printmaking process, get inky fingers, and connect with other artistic minds in this hands-on session.

Participants will learn in a small, friendly group and take home beautifully printed, original works of art on paper.

COURSE DETAILS

Morning Class: 9:30am - 11:00am | Wednesday 16th April, 2025

Afternoon Class: 1:00pm - 2:30pm | Wednesday 16th April, 2025

Location: The Armarie Room, Founders Park, Nelson

Instructor: Renee Hadlow

Experience Level: Beginner. Minimum age 16+

Limited to 6 places, bookings essential.

 

  • Materials and equipment are included in the course fee. Additional tools and materials can be purchased if required.

  • Bring your creative energy and some images or drawings that you would like to work from.

  • In the workshop wear closed toe shoes and some old clothes. Long hair should be tied back and jewellery removed when operating the printing presses.

  • Refunds or cancellations cannot be accepted within 72 hours of the course starting. You can however transfer your enrolment to another person who would like to participate.

  • The Armarie Room will reschedule any classes that cannot take place due to unforeseen circumstances.
